Neuromante, considered one of the most influential novels of science fiction becomes an original series for Apple TV. At San Diego Comic-Con the platform presented the very first teaser trailer of the TV series that will come from 22 January 2027 with 10 weekly release bets. The series is inspired by the homonymous cult novel by William Gibson, considered the manifesto of the cyberpunk genre and sees protagonists Callum Turner and Briana Middleton in a story that interweaves hackers, artificial intelligences, espionage and megacorporations.
Published in 1984, Neuromancer is the debut novel by William Gibson and is considered one of the works that defined the modern cyberpunk genre. Winner of the Nebula Award, the Philip K. Dick Award and the Hugo Award, inaugurated the famous Trilogy of Sprawl, continued with Count Zero and Monna Lisa Cyberpunk.
La trama
The protagonist is Case, one of the most brilliant hackers of his generation, whose career has been destroyed by past events. When he is offered a ransom, he agrees to participate in a dangerous mission along with Molly, a cyber-powered mercenary who is very skilled in combat.
The two are involved in a complex digital espionage operation that leads them to challenge a powerful corporate dynasty. Behind the blow that they are called to sign they hide secrets destined to change their destiny and balances of the world in which they live.
Il cast
Callum Turner is Case and Briana Middleton is Molly, but in the cast of Neuromancer – Neuromante we also find Mark Strong, Joseph Lee, Peter Sarsgaard and Clémence Poésy; and again Max Irons, Dane DeHaan, Junia Rees, Jordan Kouamé, Emma Laird, Marc Menchaca, André De Shields and Isabella Pappas.
