Wednesday 29 July 2026 on 20 will air the film “The Forger – Il Falsario“, part of the cycle “Serial Thriller” on air every Saturday on IRIS. The film is directed by director Philip Martin with John Travolta, Christopher Plummer and Tye Sheridan as the protagonists. The appointment with the film is at about 21:15 out of 20.

The Forger – Il Falsario, la trama
Ray Cutter, a felony detained for criminal precedents of various kinds to which there are still 10 months of penalty to be served, is aware that his son Will was diagnosed with a serious tumor in the incurable brain. For this reason he will get a permit to spend as much time as possible with him, after asking the well-known criminal Tommy Keegan, with whom he had already had relationships in the past to pay him the bail of the value of fifty thousand dollars.
In return, Ray will have to steal on his behalf, in turn indebted to the dangerous boss of the Mexican Malavita Raul Carlos, a famous French painting by Claude Monet who will arrive from Paris and will be exhibited at the National Gallery of Art in Washington for 24 hours. The idea is to replace it with a copy that he himself will have to create with the support of his friend Carl, his son Will and his father Joseph.
