Atomic is the new Sky Original series that combines thrillers, action and international espionage, starring Alfie Allen, Shazad Latif and Samira Wiley. Inspired by the essay The Atomic Bazaar by journalist William Langewiesche and created by screenwriter Gregory Burke, the series debuted from August 20 exclusively on Sky and streamed on NOW. In England the series debuted in August 2025 is unclear whether or not it was renewed.
La Trama
At the center of Atomic there is Max, an impulsive drug dealer, whose fate changes when he meets JJ, an enigmatic man on the run. Among the two is an unexpected friendship that drags them into an extremely dangerous mission: to transport highly enriched uranium through North Africa and the Middle East.
On their tracks, the CIA, MI6 and a network of international criminal organizations. Cassie Elliott, a brilliant scientist and CIA undercover agent, believes that Max and JJ are involved with extremist groups. As the pursuers multiply, the two protagonists discover that no one says all the truth and that every ally could hide a second end.
