Tuesday, August 18, 2026 on Rai 1 and streamed on RaiPlay will air the film Emma and the black jaguar from about 21.40. The 2014 French-Canadian film Le dernier jaguar tells a friendship born in the Amazon forest and remained intact despite the distance. Emma and the black jaguar is an adventure film for the whole family directed by Gilles de Maistre with Lumi Pollack, as Emma. The film is an international co-production between France, Canada, Italy and Germany, lasting about 100 minutes.
La trama
Emma, who is actually Autumn in the original version, grew up in the Amazon with her parents, engaged in the defense of the environment. During childhood, she holds a special bond with a black jaguar puppy who decides to call Hope. When she is six years old, however, a dramatic event forces her to leave the forest and move to New York with her father Saul.
Eight years later, Emma is a teenager and lives in town, but she didn’t forget Hope. When he discovers that the jaguar, now an adult, is likely to be caught by animal traffickers because considered a rare specimen, decides to return to the Amazon to save it. On the journey he is accompanied by his biology teacher Anja, who faces adventure with many more fears than his young pupil.
