Il commento
The Roses is a well-written comedy, well-recited and definitely pleasant to see. The film extremizes the life of a couple composed of two strong personalities who seek to impress their identity on family life. The Roses begins by immediately showing us the crisis now exploded, banging cruel truth and rivalry in the face of a psychologist, then returning to the origins. The story of their lives is marked by a series of fortuitous and unexpected circumstances that distort their existence. But the fate can open different paths, it is then the different protagonists to understand what they want to go.
The film poses a crucial question to the public: is love able to make the differences forget? The life of couple is made of compromises, in the management of children, in the working dynamics, but until what point can be reached before compromise becomes resentment?
Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch confirm that they are two of the best actors in circulation, able to grant a spectrum of different shades to the characters they interpret. Their characters are real, credible people, you can really feel their repressed anger, the discomfort that hides behind a smile but also the exact opposite when frustration turns into disillusionment.

Extraordinary the couple formed by Andy Samberg and Kate McKinnon, as well as all other non-stars, including children. But the strength of the Roses is formed by Colman-Cumberbatch, a couple who could recite anything by turning it into an unmissable jewel. But I Roses behind the facade of a funny, brilliant comedy, at the edge of the Pharisee, proposes a reflection on couples, on the role of man and woman, on the difficulty of managing differences within a couple.
