Amadeus su Sky
The Amadeus TV series, written in 5 episodes by Peter Shaffer, is a modern revisitation, daring of the life of the legendary composer, considered one of the most iconic, a kind of rockstar of the eighteenth century.
When the 25-year-old Amadeus arrives in the lively Vienna of the eighteenth century, he is no longer a prodigy child, but a man eager to have his own creative freedom. His destiny is intertwined with two fundamental figures: his future wife Constanze Weber, of unwavering fidelity, and the devout court composer Antonio Salieri. While the genius of Amadeus continues to bloom despite his inner demons, a controversial reputation and the skepticism of the Viennese court conservative, Salieri is increasingly tormented by what he perceives as a divine gift.
Amadeus becomes a threat to everything he considers sacred: his talent, his reputation and even his faith in God. Salieri swears to destroy him. What is born as a professional rivalry is transformed into a deeply personal obsession, destined to last thirty years, and to culminate in a confession of murder and in a desperate attempt to tie forever his name to Mozart’s legacy.
