Wednesday 10 December 2025 on Italy 1 in the first evening will air the colossal “Interstellar“. The film, directed by the sci-fi genius, Christopher Nolan and produced with the collaboration of his wife Emma Thomas, and his brother Jonathan who had already developed the film in 2007. The film, released at the cinema in 2014 by Warner Bros, cashed $677.5 million worldwide, with a budget of approximately $165 million. In Italy the film has cashed 10.8 million euros.
Interstellar, la trama
The film is set in an alternative version of the 21st century where humanity is tormented by frequent sand storms that destroy everything they meet, causing hunger. During a storm, Joseph Cooper, a former NASA engineer, and his daughter Murph discover the existence of a strange physical phenomenon in Murph’s room. On the floor Cooper manages to codify strange sand strips that reveal coordinates based on a binary system.
Following those coordinates, the two discover a NASA secret center headed by Tom Brand and Amelia Brand. Here Cooper discovers the existence of a temporal space portal near Saturn that gravitates around the black hole Gargantua. NASA had already sent a crew that never returned, and the only survivor could be Mann. So Cooper will decide to embark on this space adventure to solve the Theory entirely and save the Earth.
In space, however, time flows slowly, so in Earth Murph it has become adult and discovers that Tom Brand, while having deciphered the equation, cannot apply it to his projects. Meanwhile, in space, the team reaches the planet from which Mann sent information to the base. Mann, however, is in the grip of madness and tries in vain to steal the ship to the team. Meanwhile, putting Amelia safe, he ends up in a pentadimension created by entities greater than man, a dimension in which man can manipulate time and space.
