Ennio Doris – C’è anche domani la trama

While the cra of the fourth American bank announced itself as the biggest in history
Ennio Doris climbed the stage of Palazzo di Mezzanotte, which houses the Milan Stock Exchange, to make an announcement destined to enter the history of finance. In the front row, his wife Lina Tombolato and his sons Massimo and Sara.

“We at Banca Mediolanum decided to intervene with our customers that
have purchased titles under Lehman Brothers bonds -annuncia Doris – Yes
11.000 customers to which we will refund a total amount of 120 million euros, all
what they invested. L’expense will not weigh on the bank’s budget or on
shareholders. We will personally provide myself, all my family and my partner Silvio
Berlusconi, to pay this figure from our private accounts“.

There were no similar precedents, no bank had ever made it before Ennio Doris.
Turning back and making a point on his existence, Ennio Doris had no doubt
in making this decision that many seemed surprising, but not to those who knew him closely. He thought back to the rural world from which he came, to the values transmitted by his father as the family, honesty, transparency, freedom, the centrality of the person, and to the men from whom he had learned important lessons of life.
