The 2025 is ending and when a year inevitably ends we find ourselves making a budget, in our case not of life but of the best and worst TV series we have seen in the last 12 months. The premise or better the warning is mandatory although as you can see by looking at the many (too many) classifications that are around there are objective things since many titles bounce from one ranking to another, of the TV series that marked one year, there are also subjective elements that dominate the choices.
It is also worth remembering how there is now a serial invasion with products coming from all over the world thanks to platforms. Seeing them all is practically impossible, so let’s say that this is our ranking based on our visions. We expect you on our various social media to comment on the charts and tell us yours too! P.S.: If you follow our newsletters you may already know the charts..
Serie tv 2025 – Ma che hanno è stato?
But the 2025 serial year was? The answer is not simple but it was probably a year when the unexpected had the best on the conventional, in which the pleasure of discovery was found (as demonstrated by the euphoria of Heated Rivalry which showed how piracy is still alive) and where the great myths collapsed. A year characterized by wars and uncertainty that has thus rediscovered the taste of waiting, the weekly release of those TV series with the flavor of the 1990s but reported in the present. And the tired litany of “there are no larger series” is now only myopia and little understanding of the scenario in which we live. The big series are there, but they are simply not great for everyone.
Il meglio…delle novità
Since we don’t like all the same things, we try something different. Let’s start with the best news:
M – Il figlio del Secolo (Sky/NOW): potente e travolgente
The Pitt s.1 (Sky/NOW/HBO): ER is back!
Paradise s.1 (Disney+): Dan Fogelman ce l’ha fatta di nuovo
Plur1bus s.1 (Apple TV): ottima idea, ottima partenza, ottimo finale ma almeno 3 puntate potevano essere sfruttate meglio
The Studio s.1 (Apple TV): la follia dello show business!
Task s.1 (Sky/NOW/HBO): la qualità di HBO non si batte sui crime crudi e duri
It – Welcome to Derry (Sky/NOW/HBO): non sempre bambini e adolescenti sono un limite
But among many news there were interesting returns:
The Gilded Age s.3 (Sky/NOW/HBO): ci sono voluti tre anni ma ha trovato finalmente l’equilibrio giusto
Gen V s.2 (Prime Video): spinoff realizzato alla perfezione
Slow Horses s.5 (Apple TV): capolavoro
The Bear s.4 (Disney+): un dramma familiare intenso…ah no giusto…è una comedy

L’estate nei suoi occhi s.3 (Prime Video): quel fascino senza tempo del triangolo amoroso, che ci riporta a Dawson’s Creek, One Tree Hill, Beverly Hills 90210, The Vampire Diaries.
ALL’S FAIR – “First Look” (Disney/Ser Baffo)
No dai così no… le delusioni del 2025
Inevitably the disappointments were not lacking, between bad TV series and others below expectations:
All’s Fair s.1 (Disney+): uno spreco di cast e di soldi
Zero Day, miniserie (Netflix): quando i thriller sono sconclusionati
Wayward, miniserie (Netflix): voleva essere The OA
Olympo e Il rifugio atomico (Netflix): qualcuno fermi gli spagnoli!
Pulse s.1 (Netflix): quando nemmeno sai copiare…
Hotel Costiera s.1 (Prime Video): la cartolina per gli americani
