Before us is a new drama of Rai 1 and RaiPlay aired from Sunday 4 January in the first evening, consisting of 10 episodes that will then occupy 5 evenings. The TV series is from the novel by Giorgio Fontana adapted by Giulia Calenda, Daniele Luchetti, Valia Santella, directed by Daniele Luchetti and Valia
Santella. Before us it is produced by Wildiside, a company of the Freemanlte group for RaiFiction and is a fresco of Italy between 1917 and 1978 from rural Friuli to Turin factories, thus crossing the fascist dictatorship, war, economic boom, years of lead, disputes.

Prima di noi, la trama
Before us it is a series that tells Italy but above all the North through the Sartori family three generations of builders and destroyers, eternal archetypes who seek their place in the world and redemption from the guilt of those who came before them. A burden that seems to have left only rage and restlessness, even in the most generous gestures of love.
Everything starts from Maurizio and the escape from the front after the retreat of Caporetto during the First World War. A choice that keeps secret and makes it a deserter in every aspect of life. He will find the courage to tell only Nadia, indestructible capostipite and root of the family nucleus: a female force capable of holding together the firmness of ancestors and attempts to escape children, anticipating the events of history.
La trama delle prime due puntate del 4 gennaio
Episode 1 1917. Maurizio Sartori finds refuge at the farmhouse Tassan. Nadia, while discovering that he is a deserter, falls in love with him. They decide to hide the truth to all. Maurizio is restless and tormented and in some moments a dark force comes to crush his chest dangerously: it is the Cjalcjut, a spirit that according to popular legend suffocates those who in life committed serious
errors. Nadia at the end of the war discovers she is pregnant, but Maurizio does not bear the weight of the event and decides to flee.
Episode 2 1919. Nadia is not resigned to abandonment. After various vicissitudes, the two marry and move to the village with the little Gabriel, where Maurizio finds work as a worker and makes friends with Leo. The two are arrested in a fight with the fascists. Asked by the police, Maurizio denies being a deserter. Nadia gives birth to the second son, Domenico, while Maurizio shelters more and more in alcohol forcing Nadia to find work with a family. Renzo was born and eight years later Domenico risked to die for the bite of a viper.
