On Wednesday 28 January Iris will air the American film “The Judge” directed by David Dobkin, with Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall as the protagonists. The film was released at the cinema in 2014 cashing around $84.4 million worldwide, of which $47.1 million was cashed in the US market. In Italy the film has cashed 2,4 million euros.
The Judge, la trama
Hank Palmer is a successful defense attorney in Chicago, who is about to divorce. When his brother calls him with the news that their mother died, Hank returns to his hometown to attend the funeral.
Despite the fragile bond with his father, a judge, Hank is forced to help him, as he was accused of the murder of a man who had condemned years before. Here, Hank discovers the truth behind the case, which will help him reconnect with the family, but also to discover his secrets.
