The TV spy thriller series with Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson arrives (a bit surprising) from February 18 on TimVision. PONIES Persons Of No Interest is a Peacock TV series, produced by Universal Television, released last January in the U.S. and which is set in 1977 in the Cold War with at the center two uninteresting people, two wives of two CIA spies.
PONIES, la trama
Set in Moscow in 1977, in the middle of the Cold War. Protagonists are Bea Grant (Emilia Clarke) and Twila Hasbeck (Haley Lu Richardson), secretaries of the American embassy whose life is stranded after the death suspected of husbands, both CIA agents.
Consider ‘PONIES’, acronym for ‘Persons Of No Interest’, seemingly irrelevant to secret services – the two women are recruited as unofficial agents and begin to operate undercover in the heart of the Cold War.
Taking advantage of the brilliant intelligence and knowledge of the Russian of Bea, daughter of Soviet immigrants, and the instinctive audacity of the provincial Twila, the series follows their path from ‘invisible’ of the embassy to fundamental pawns in a global power game. Determined to shed light on the conspiracy behind the death of their husbands, Bea and Twila move between political intrigues, double-players and dangerous contacts of the KGB, continually jeopardizing their lives to discover the truth.
