Tuesday, March 3, 2026 on Channel 20 will air the film “The Foreigner” directed by Martin Campbell. The film is an adaptation of Stephen Leather’s novel entitled “The Chinaman“. Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan are the protagonists. The film was released in the cinemas in 2017, cashing around $145.4 million worldwide. In Italy the film came directly into home video and digital and never went out to the cinema. The story of a man whose daughter is killed in an attack claimed by the Authentic IRA group and seeks revenge.
The Foreigner, la trama
The plot of The Foreigner tonight on Channel 20 tells the story of Minh Quan, who runs a Chinese restaurant in London along with his partner, Lam. When his daughter Fan is killed in an attack in a shopping mall, Quan will begin his own murder hunt. The attack is claimed by a group of terrorists called “Authentic IRA”. Quan tries to get the bomber’s name from Scotland Yard, but his request is rejected, so he will try to pressure Irish Prime Minister Liam Hennessey.
Hennessey was an IRA member, the Irish independent movement, so Quan will go to Belfast to talk to him. But the prime minister denies information about the attack and the attackers. Quan won’t believe him, so he’s gonna make a bomb he’s gonna use to threaten the prime minister and force him to give him the information he’s looking for..
