Thursday, March 5, 2026 on Canale 5 will air the umpteenth replica of the well-known film “Quo Vado?” comedy by Apulian comedian Checco Zalone, champion of incites in Italy, recently beaten both in recesses and as audience by Buen Camino. Directed by Gennaro Nunziante, produced by Taodue and distributed by Medusa Film, Quo Vado? He won a Silver Ribbon award and received two nominations for the David of Donatello. Like every comedy of Checco Zalone, Quo Vado? it was a success to the Italian box office, cashing in the first seven weeks from the exit the sum of 65.2 million euros.
Quo Vado?, la trama
Checco was raised by his father with the myth of the fixed place. At almost 40 years he lives what he always felt to be his ideal life. Served and revered by the fiancée of a life that has no intention of marrying, near the parents, assumed indefinitely at the provincial office “Caccia e pesca”, where his assignment consists in putting stamps comfortably sitting at the desk.
But the reforms also arrive for Checco, and the one that abolishes the provinces unprepared: its status as a relatively young single makes it suitable for the “voluntary” demand for resignations, in the face of a contained release. But Checco, recommended by the senator who “settled it”, does not yield to the demands of the “liquidator”. In order to get rid of it, Sironi manages to send him around all over Italy, in the most troubled and uncomfortable locations. Checco adapts and does not quit. To Sironi there is only one last card: to send the employee to the North Pole, in the middle of the perennial snows and white bears. Fortunately, Valeria, a researcher of great ideals and broad views that will change the fate of the protagonist and make him discover the pleasures (and responsibilities) of a civil life.
