Little Fires Everywhere – Tanti piccoli fuochi, la trama
The series was written by Liz Tigelaar (Casual) and tells the story of a perfect family Richardson – led by the characters played by Reese Witherspoon and Joshua Jackson, and a mother and daughter – played by Kerry Washington and Lexi Underwood, whose life will be upset. History will explore the secrets, the nature of art, the identity and the ferocity of motherhood and the dangers resulting from the line of thought according to which to follow the rules can avoid disasters.
I Nostri commenti
The story uses the thriller background, with the initial scene of a fire that opens at Richardson’s house, then go back and tell the story of the people involved. A script expedient often used to intrigue the viewer. The series takes its time to get there, because the primary goal of Little Fires Everywhere is to tell people, their lives, their evolution, and the events that triggered such evolution. People to the antipods: the rich spoiled province who dressed up the role of mother and housewife, but it was not what he wanted, a choice taken because it seemed the only normal thing to do.
And then the artist, the one without a stable, independent, progressive, revolutionary dwelling. Each of the characters has a complex past, marked by events that play the function of watershed in their lives, and that are also those experiences that made them the person they are today. Of the small fires that put together create a fire of different personalities among themselves, and that explode when they meet.
Little Fires Everywhere is everything, and perhaps too much: a thriller, a family drama, a teen drama, addresses the theme of the differences between social and color classes in the Americas of the 1990s and the role of women. A tangled bunch of genres, themes, time references and stories, but cannot find the right tone and rhythm to accompany the viewer to the point of arrival.

Little Fires Everywhere is definitely one of the best news this year and especially for Big Little Lies fans, it will be very easy to fall in love with this series.
The two protagonists are perfect in the roles assigned to them: credible, intense, totally comfortable to dress up the shoes of Elena and Mia.
If we expected him from Witherspoon (unbelievable his performances in Big Little Lies and in The Morning Show), the eyes (personally) were all focused on Washington, still very anchored to the face of Oliva Pope in Scandal: the actress who for seven years held the role of leader of the notorious “gladors” in the series of Shonda Rhimes, turned out perfectly chameleontic in the cover. Mysterious, tormented and combative, Mia is the most interesting character in this series that works from the beginning to the end and mixing together different genres, from the thriller to the family drama, tells a dramatic story with the center of class struggles and racial issues in the nineties in America.
If you are passionate about choral drama, set in small towns, with protagonists from the mysterious past, Little Fires Everywhere is definitely the series for you.
Vote 8 Giorgia Di Stefano
Little Fires Everywhere is a mix between Big Little Lies and Desperate Housewives and reflects on the condition of mother of two (but actually more) different women, on the one hand the rich and white Reese Witherspoon, on the other the nomadic artist and single mother of color Kerry Washington. Two worlds and two socio-cultural backgrounds to the antipodes that collide in the 1980s/90s in the American suburbs, which as we know are often a perfect patina that contains unspeakable secrets. A reflection among some careful and punctual clichés on what it means to be mothers but also on what it means to be children and, above all, daughters. Hulu once again gets centered.
