Half Man, the new Richard Gadd miniseries by Baby Reindeer, will be in April on HBO Max

Richard Gadd’s new miniseries will arrive in April and author behind the global success of Netflix’s Baby Reindeer. Half Man is a co-production HBO and BBC and will arrive in April in Italy (USA Latin America and Europe) on HBO Max and BBC iPlayer, BBC One and BBC Scotland in the UK and Ireland. Banijay Rights manages international distribution outside BBC and HBO rights. The series is supported by Screen Scotland.

Half Man, la trama

Niall and Ruben are brothers. Not blood, but something very similar. A fierce and loyal. The other shy and peaceful. Young people are inseparable. When Ruben comes to Niall’s wedding three decades later, something seems different. He’s nervous, elusive, he doesn’t act as usual. Soon the explosion of an act of violence brings us back in time in their lives from the 1980s to the present day. Telling about thirty years of the life of these tormented men, Half Man explores brotherhood, violence and the deep fragility of male relationships. Because when everything is shattered, it is often the closest ties to break in the most painful way.

The cast is formed by Richard Gadd, Jamie Bell, Stuart Campbell, Mitchell Robertson, Neve McIntosh, Marianne McIvor, Charlie De Melo, Bilal Hasna, Julie Cullen, Amy Manson, Anjli Mohindra, Kate Downie, Tom Andrews, Philippine Velge, Stuart McQuarrie, Sandy Batchelor, Piers Ewart, Scot Greenen, and the debuts.

Half Man is created and written by Richard Gadd, also executive producer. Sophie Gardiner and Anna O’Malley are executive producers, along with Gaynor Holmes for the BBC and Gavin Smith for BBC Scotland. The series is directed by Alexandra Brodski and Eshref Reybrouck.
