On Thursday, March 19, Rai Movie will air the film Le Paludi della Morte – Texass Killing Fiels, a 2011 thriller directed by Ami Canaan Mann and taken from a real story. Sam Worthington, Jessica Chastain, Jeffrey Dean Morgan are the protagonists.
The film, released in 2011, cashed only $1.2 million worldwide. In Italy the film has cashed only 105 thousand euros in the box office. It was presented at the 68th edition of the Venice Film Festival. The title refers to a marshy area near League City in Texas near interstate road 45. The script is inspired by a series of murders and disappearances of women in that area, in reality were several killers involved while the film dwells on suspects of Texas.
Le Paludi della Morte, la trama
The film tells the story of a Texas City Homicide detective Mike Souder, along with a young colleague from New York Brian Heigh, is called to investigate the murder of a girl. The body of a girl is found in a swampy area known to all as Killing Fields and the scene of frequent findings and murders especially of prostitutes and students.
While investigating, other victims are added, but when Brian is being kidnapped, the couple of cops and Mike’s ex-wife will do anything to find her before it’s too late.
