The small film (available on MUBI) became a cult thanks to the word of the word, Le città di Pianura won 16 nominations for Donatello’s David 2026, over Paolo Sorrentino and La Grazia stops at 14 nominations. On Wednesday, May 6, the award ceremony of the 71st edition of Donatello David Awards will be held live on Rai 1 and broadcast in 4K (on Rai4K channel, number 210 of Tivùsat). The evening will also be broadcast live by Rai Radio2 and available in streaming on the RaiPlay platform.
The event will take place at the Studies of Cinecittà. Twenty-six David Awards of Donatello and David Specials will be awarded during the ceremony. The films in the competition came out in the hall from 1 to 31 December 2025, voted from 1 to 15 March by the jurors.
