Operation Fortune, the right thing at the wrong time – Review of the movie on Tv8

After a troubled story (the film had to see the light last year, but the presence inside of Ukrainian spies pastries and ridicules had alerted the world diplomacy) arrives on TV8 Operation Fortune, a Sky Original film directed by Guy Ritchie starring his inspirational muse: Jason Statham. In Italy the film, after being broadcast exclusively on Sky Cinema Uno, returns on Tv8 at 21.40 Thursday 2 April. An intricate, fun and entertained film, in full style Guy Ritchie, with a star cast and a story that enjoys itself without losing itself in useless details (such as: what is refurbishment). A spy action comedy for the whole family (or almost).

Operation Fortune, tutto fumo e niente arrosto (ed è un bene)

A mysterious government agency promptly calls a mysterious and distinguished English man named Nathan. A mysterious precious cargo was stolen. You don’t know who on behalf of who. You don’t even know what it is, this load that is called “the handle”. But it must be recovered at all costs and quickly. In the process, you have to understand everything else and maybe defeat a super villain or two. To do so, Orson Fortune is acquitted, a very spoiled super spy and expensive tastes. It will be a secret and unorthodox operation, in which it will be flanked by Sarah and J.J.

In the mix also the eccentric and moral trafficker of multi-million-dollar weapons Greg Simmonds and Danny Francesco, star of action film that never imagined to be inside a real Ruse de Guerre. A journey around the world in search of the handle, seasoned by all that Guy Ritchie d’azione manages to get in mind: ships, chases, helicopters, Jason Statham, double-way jokes and guns. What do you want more?

Operation Fortune, Guy Ritchie è in forma

Let’s get this straight. You are reading a great lover of Guy Ritchie of action a little over the lines, enjoying and enjoying, exaggerating with awareness and pushing the accelerator on the absurd. Operation Fortune does not replicate the fasts of The Gentlemen (2019), but plays on the same scheme, although making it more linear. For almost two hours we look at a sexy girl but very clever and genuinely skillful, a hard and muscular bald, an exceptional shooter super chill and a Hollywood star hanging around a mysterious object that we don’t even know what it is. When we find out, the surprise is little. The point of the film is certainly not the handle, as much as everything else. This dynamic, elegant and witty flow of turns and twists. Fast jokes, punches and pew pew. Of big orange writings in over impression that they tell us in which part of the world we are. In the process, you can iron on everything you meet: the world of art, rich nerds and even artificial intelligence.

Also the Ukrainian spies that caused its indefinite shift (and in Italy having completely skipped the film release), understandable from a certain point of view, is resized in the perspective of the director. In the Ritchie universe, in fact, all the characters or almost are bizarre, eccentric, exaggerated, often obsessed with small things, many other times simply idiots who end badly. It’s not a fault, it’s a way.

Il cast
