Tonight on TV Monday, May 25, 2026 IRIS will air the film Civiltà Perduta. The film is written and directed by James Gray and is inspired by the novel “Z – The Lost City” written by David Grann. Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson, Sienna Miller and Tom Holland are in the cast. The appointment is for tonight at about 21:15 on IRIS and streaming on Mediaset Infinity. The film (The Lost City of Z in English) was released in 2016 and cashed little more than $19.6 million worldwide, of which $8.6 million in the US market. In Italy, distributed by Eagle Pictures, the film cashed around 626 thousand euros.
Civiltà Perduta, la trama
The plot of Lost Civilization tells the true story of Percy Fawcett a British explorer who in 1925 began to explore the less-known regions of the man of the Amazon Forest. His goal was to find the ancient lost civilization of the kingdom of El Dorado. Thanks to his tenacity and his beliefs, Fawcett has managed to attract the attention of the world to his theories and will travel with his eldest son Jack to prove them.
