Le anticipazioni del 29 maggio

The Yelduran and Kordagli are two numerous and consolidated families of Urfa. Their long feud ended with a marriage agreement between Serhat and Yildiz. However, Serhat, a well-established Istanbul surgeon who lived far from the family, never wanted this marriage. Not to mention he was planning to move abroad soon. But Serhat’s life changes completely when he meets Melek. Everyone knows that Serhat is the heir of the Yelduran family. But he has no intention of marrying Yildiz or becoming his successor. When Melek was admitted to the hospital, after an accident, Serhat who was leaving for Germany, rushed into the operating room to save her.

In a powerful family led by a strict patriarch, tensions, rivalry and gossip fuel deep conflicts between members and allied families. The return to the home of his eldest son, Serhat, coincides with the worsening of his father’s health conditions, struck by a heart attack and forced to remain under medical care in the walls of the villa. Meanwhile, rumors about alleged escapes, betrayals and secret maneuvers jeopardize the honor of the family and a combined marriage destined to consolidate alliances and power. Pride, social pressure, personal ambitions and rivalry among clans emerge ancient promises, oppressive expectations and desires of emancipation. When a fire hits family property, the situation falls further, revealing that someone may have chosen the way of revenge. In a climate of suspicion and instability, every choice can unleash irreversible consequences and the future of family inheritance is hanging on a thread.

Serhat returns to Urfa because his father is in the end of his life and his return marks the moment when he must fulfill the promise made by his parents to marry Yildiz, daughter of Zyan Agha. Serhat, who now lives in modern Istanbul and is happily married to Melek, does not want to bend to these ancient traditions and much less wants to accept the role of heir and head of family that the father imposes. The Yildiz family is not willing to accept such an offense. So all the men of the Kordagli family are armed at the Yelderan family’s house. If Sehrat does not marry Yildiz immediately, he will be a carnage. Akif finally convinces Surhat to marry the young Yildiz with religious rite and to hold her as a second wife, so he can still return to Istanbul to his usual life, as long as he shows occasionally in Urfa. Serhat accepts, but he wants to be clear with Yildiz and explain his position.
