On Saturday 30 May 2026 Iris will air the American film “Nessuna Verità” part of the cycle “Visioni D’autore“. The film, directed by Ridley Scott, is an adaptation of the novel “Body of Lies” written by David Ignatius, journalist of Washington Post. The date with the film is at about 21:15 on IRIS.
The film, released in the theatres of the world in 2008, has cashed more than 115.9 million dollars worldwide, of which 39.3 million cashed only in the US market. In Italy the film has cashed well 4.5 million euros.
Nessuna Verità, la trama
The film tells the story of Roger Ferris, a CIA agent who after a difficult mission in Iraq is sent to Amman, Jordan, to find and arrest a dangerous Al Qaeda terrorist. It is Al Saleem, which seems to be the creator of serious attacks that have made many victims in Europe. Roger will not be alone, with him there is Hani Salaam, also he with the aim of finding Al Saleem.
Roger is one of the best CIA agents and on this mission he is led by Ed Hoffman, his supervisor monitoring Ferris from Washington. Roger’s survival depends on his voice in his ear, which guides him from afar through a secret phone. To Scovare Al Saleem, who seems to be planning an attack in the United States, Roger will infiltrate a terrorist cell of Al Qaeda thanks to an innocent architect, indispensable to create contact with the group. The agent will say nothing to the Jordanian secret services, further complicating the mission. When your nurse friend Aisha is kidnapped, Roger will be forced out to save the woman’s life, but what will happen to him?
