Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th June 2026 on Rai 2 will air the miniseries The thin line of revenge, Franco-belga production in 4 episodes that unite drama, comedy and psychological thriller. Inspired by a Turkish series (you think) Sahsiyet who also won an International Emmy Memoire Vive (Persona at international level) tells the story of Esther Lefevre, former Chancellor of the retired court, who discovers that he has Alzheimer’s. Sudden memory empties make her reawaken old buried memories that leads her to investigate forgotten facts.
Esther began to consult her judicial records from which she extracted a list of criminals who in the past managed to escape justice for cavities or lack of evidence. He doesn’t have much time, he has to act before he completely loses his memory. His destiny is intertwined with that of Célia Le Goff, an enterprising policeman who tries to solve the mystery of a series of disturbing murders whose culprit leaves messages to her intended for the bodies of the victims. The investigation will lead her to the places of her childhood, where the darkest secret of her past is buried. Esther tries to remember and Célia to forget. The lives of the two women cross and join.

1×01 The protagonist Esther, a retired former court chancellor, receives a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s. The shock of the news re-emerges in Esther’s mind a memory buried for a long time, tied to her professional career. Aware that his memory will disappear soon, Esther decides to act before it is too late. He began to consult his old court cases to compile a list of criminals who, in the past, managed to escape justice for cavities or lack of evidence.
1×02 Esther goes to talk to her doctor, who explains to her that her illness is at an early stage and that some patients can recover fragments of memory. Esther, therefore, thinks of Carmen, wife of Judge Chazaud killed, and, fearing that she can remember something about her and tell the police, she decides to go to the RSA where she is to kidnap her.

1×03 Célia begins to investigate the death of Mahé Vignaud, but fails to understand what may be the link between the various victims. What leaves her most perplexed is that on each victim a label is found with a message addressed to her. Rémy, her brother, asks her to celebrate her birthday at their mother’s house and, although she doesn’t want it because of her bad relationship with her mother, she decides to accept to make her brother happy.
1×04 Esther, unaware that her next victim is her daughter’s employer, puts in place the plan to kill him. The woman then went to Alexis Roch’s house, but there is a bitter surprise. Meanwhile, Célia continues to dig in her memories and goes to talk to her elementary teacher. Man reminds her of a detail that helps her find a person to whom she can go to ask for more information about her past.
