Tonight on TV Friday, June 12, 2026 on Rai Premium will air Ruby, a Canadian TV film by Lifetime of 2021, directed by Gail Harvey and taken from V.C. Andrews. Ruby won 4 awards at the Canadian Leo Awards as the best non-star actor in a TV movie that went to Sam Duke and Best Production, Costumes and Make-up. Four more films (until) were made, becoming a sort of V.C. saga. Andrews, who will air in the coming weeks on Rai 2: 23 November: “The Pearl of Ruby”; 30 November: “The fate of Ruby”; 14 December: “The hidden jewel.”.

The protagonist of the film tonight on TV is Ruby Landy a girl who in the greedy and mysterious swamp of the Mississippi delta in Louisiana, in the 1960s. Equipped with great talent for painting, she lives with grandmother Catherine, a spiritual healer Cajun. Ruby is persecuted by thoughts about the mysterious death of her mother and her father who never really knew. Suddenly the girl has to deal with the death of the grandmother and the parents of the boyfriend who do not want the two to attend. Shortly before her grandmother died, she reveals her father’s identity and has a twin sister. So he decides to leave New Orleans and go looking for his father one of the richest men in the city but the forbidden love for Paul will always remain his rage.
