Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson became legendary with True Detective, will be the protagonist of a comedy TV series coming in September on Apple TV that promises to surprise the audience. In Brothers, available from September 23 with the first two bets, Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson will be fiction versions of themselves. When an old secret is discovered, their friendship risks changing because they may be brothers.

The series is produced by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson and produced by Paramount Television Studios, conceived by the Emmy candidate and winner of the Peabody Award Lee Eisenberg, who also appears as showrunner and executive producer.

What if McConaughey and Harrelson were brothers?

After Woody’s daughter’s marriage goes into pieces, the actor decides to load the whole family and temporarily move to Austin to spend a long time in Matthew’s ranch. What initially seems to be a regenerating holiday however takes an unexpected turn when Ma Mac, Matthew’s mother (played by Holland Taylor), accidentally leaves a secret buried for years: the two friends could actually be brothers.

While Woody puts the ranch in an attempt to discover the truth, Matthew finds himself facing a crisis of identity of all kinds: a possible candidacy to Governor of Texas. An exciting story, chaotic and irresistible fun that explores friendship, family, fame and the subtle boundary between myth and reality.

Next to Harrelson and McConaughey, the choral cast includes Natalie Martinez, Brittany Ishibashi, Nolan Almeida, Ella Grace Helton, Noah Carganilla, Highdee Kuan, Oona Yaffe and Holland Taylor.
