Milano Pitch 2026: il progetto
Milan Pitch was launched thanks to the StoryLab project, born in March 2018 with Fondazione Cariplo, to give impulse and support to the audiovisual and publishing industry in Lombardy, thanks to bands, funding, job training and meetings in support of authors and industry.
In these 7 years Milan Pitch has created connections, opportunities and projects for young authors and authors allowing them to present about 140 projects unpublished to one hundred large companies of publishing and audiovisual, widening scholarships for more than 170 thousand Euros (also counting the grants of Development Grant of the Storylab project) and involving exceptional judges like Claudio Bisio, Cristiana Capotondi, Manlio Castagna.
From the activities carried out with StoryLab and Milan Pitch were born two large productions, a series of eight-pointed TVs for Rai, Estranei, presented a few days ago at the Milan Film Fest and broadcast in autumn on RaiDue, and a film for the cinema that will be distributed in a few months, written and directed by a young author, Lorenzo Chierici.
From the various years of Milan Pitch are also emerged young screenwriters and screenwriters who have then developed interesting projects with production houses and networks, like Mara Perbellini, who wrote a Disney series and an original Rai series (two seasons), and Claudio Benedetti, who signed Sandokan for Lux Vide.
Many (more than 20) the novels presented at Milan Pitch and then published by the main Italian publishing houses (Mondadori, Piemme Battello a Vapore, De Agostini, Giunti, Longanesi, Newton Compton, etc.): among these Dadieci (Piemme 2020) by Saschia Masini (now reached his fourth novel), I hear you (de Agostini 2020) by Valentina Tor.
Milan Pitch, part of a group of activities aimed at the development of a real audiovisual district in Milan, is directed by Professor Armando Fumagalli (director of MISP – Master in International Screenwriting and Production of the Catholic University and for many years consultant of Lux Vide) and Professor Minnie Ferrara (director of the Civic School of Cinema Luchino Visconti, Fondazione Milano).
