News TV series: Asa Butterfield in Hamburg Days; autumn dates of NBC

Hamburg Days la serie tv sui Beatles

Asa Butterfield enters the cast of Hamburg Days the TV series in six parts produced by AGC Television, Turbine Studios and W&B Television for ZDF in Germany and purchased by BBC in the UK, dedicated to the Beatles. Butterfield will be Brian Epstein the manager of the group, Jonny Lee Miller will be Kim McCartney Paul’s father, while Christine Tremarco will be Aunt Mimi taking care of John Lennon.

Also Darci Shaw will be Cynthia Lennon, Ryan Sampson will be Alan Williams, Archie George will be singer Tony Sheridan, Jorden Myrie will be Lord Woodbine, Lea Drinda will be Astrid Kirchherr, Tash Major will be Dot Rhone and Louis McCartney will be Ringo Starr.

The series is based on the homonymous book by Klaus Voorman, artist, musician friend of the group in the early 1980s. In the Rhys Mannion series will be Lennon, Ellis Murphy will be McCartney, Havery Brett will be George Harrison, Louis Landau will be Stu Sutcliffe, Patrick Gilmore will be Pete Best.

La terza stagione di Uno splendido Errore – My life with the Walter Boys debutterà il 6 agosto su Netflix.
Il 27 agosto su Netflix debutta la stagione 2 di Leanne con Leanne Morgan e Kristen Johnston, nel cast ci sarà anche Tyne Daly, sorella di Tim Daly che è già nel cast.
FX e HULU hanno fissato per l’8 settembre la partenza di The Drop: A Snowfall Saga (probabile anche il rilascio in contemporanea su Disney+). Al centro Wanda e Leon della serie originale che lottano per reinventarsi nella Los Angeles anni ’90 dove l’epidemia di crack viaggia di pari passo con l’ascesa del rap della West Coast.
NBC ha rilasciato le date di partenza dell’autunno delle sue serie tv: la novità Line of Fire (family drama-crime con Peter Krause) partirà il 21 settembre, le nuove stagioni delle 3 Chicago partiranno il 7 ottobre mentre l’8 sarà la volta di Law & Order: SVU e Law & Order; il 23 ottobre Happy’s Place 3 e la comedy Newlywds; il 2 novembre St. Denis Medical s.3 e The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins s.2.

Ayden Mayeri and Ashleigh Cummings enter the cast of Sex Criminals cartoon adaptation Image Comics created by Emily V. Gordon, Kumail Nanjiani, Tze Chun for Prime Video. The protagonists are Imogen Poots and John Reynolds respectively Suze and Jon who both have the ability to stop time while having sex and use the power to rob banks. In the cast there are also Pamela Adlon and BD Wong. Mayeri will be Rachel, friend of Suze from high school, present in comics; Cummings will be Charlene, Jon’s sister.

The creator of All Her Fault Megan Gallagher has signed an agreement with Universal Studio Group (born from the fusion between UCP and Universal International Studios) which also includes an agreement with Carnival Films.

BBC and BritBox ordered a special Christmas in 3 episodes for The Other Bennet Sister sort of spinoff of Orgoglio and Prejudice.

Richard Kind, Kevin Ryan and Asher DeLand will be in the second season of The Rainmaker of USA Network (in Italy on Sky).
