Tonight on TV Monday, June 29, 2026 on Italy 1 will be airing the film Beast with Idris Elba directed by Baltasar Kormákur, the story of a widowed father who brings the two daughters to live an adventure and finds himself having to struggle to survive. Beast was shot in South Africa, taking advantage of the suggestive natural locations to create an intense and realistic atmosphere, was shot in Cape Town, Limpopo and Northern Cape.
The film received mixed reviews from critics, with some praises for the performance of Idris Elba and the intensity of the plot, while others stressed the predictability of history. The film was released in Italian cinemas from 22 September 2022. He cashed about $60 million worldwide.
Beast, la trama
Nate, a doctor and a widow, takes the daughters Mere and Norah to South Africa to try to reconcile with them, destroyed by the loss of his mother, separated from Nate for a few years. For their safari in the savanna they rely on the care of Martin, long-time friend and expert tracker. During a hike, however, Martin lands in a tsonga village exterminated by a beast, with all probability a mad lion. It is the beginning of a struggle for survival, in which Nate and his daughters will have to join their forces and resort to every expedient to save themselves.
