Ignorant Fate, Ozpetek’s movie tonight on TV

Friday 3 July on La7 will air the Italian film “Le Fate Ignoranti”. This is a film directed by the famous director Ferzan Özpetek, with Margherita Buy and Stefano Accorsi as the protagonists. Ferzan Ozpetek also produced a TV series inspired by the film and release on Disney+. The film, released in 2001, cashed around $500,000 in the countries where it was distributed. Le Fate Ignoranti, la trama

The film tells the story of Antonia and Massimo who have been married for more than ten years and live in a beautiful villa in the residential outskirts of Rome, you could define a happy couple. When Massimo dies suddenly in a road accident, Antonia sinks into a devastating mourning.

One day though, thanks to a dedication on the back of a painting, she discovers that her husband had a lover for seven years, and that this lover was a man. So he will get acquainted with Michael, who lives together with his other friends, part of the LGBT community, at first it is not revealed as Antonio’s wife, but then he will understand that he needs to start a new chapter of his life..
