After recounting the struggle for survival during the impact of comet Clarke, the saga continues with Greenland 2: Migration, aired on Monday, July 13th at 21:15 on Sky Cinema One and streaming on NOW. Directed once again by Ric Roman Waugh, the sequel shows Gerard Butler, Morena Baccarin and Roman Griffin Davis, protagonists of the first film.
Set five years after Greenland events, the film shifts attention from immediate survival to reconstruction, following the protagonists in a world where the consequences of disaster continue to affect the lives of survivors. The journey through a devastated Europe becomes the guiding thread of a new adventure that combines action, tension and family drama.
La trama
Five years have passed since the impact of comet Clarke, who has upset the Earth. After saving yourself by taking refuge in a bunker in Greenland, John Garrity, his wife Allison and son Nathan are forced to abandon what seemed to be the last safe place when the shelter is also destroyed.
Back on the surface, the Garrity discover an unrecognizable world, marked by extreme weather events and a population reduced to the same. The family thus embarks on a long journey through a hostile Europe with the aim of reaching France, where there could be a new settlement capable of offering a future to humanity.
Il cast
Gerard Butler returns to play John Garrity, engineer and former protagonist of the race against the time told in the first film. Next to him we find Morena Baccarin as his wife Allison Garrity and Roman Griffin Davis as his son Nathan Garrity.
Ric Roman Waugh, who had already directed the first Greenland, confirming the desire to give continuity to the story of the Garrity family and the post-apocalyptic world born after the fall of the comet.
