The American magnate John Hammond has made the most ambitious and fantastic amusement park of his life on the island of Nublar, off Guatemala.
To obtain the final approval of the shareholders of the great project, Hammond invites an expert paleontologist, Ellie Sattler, a paleobotanic; Donald Gennaro, a mathematician, Ian Malcolm and his grandsons, Lex and Tim. But some animals begin to become very aggressive by killing those on their way. For the group begins a struggle for survival.
