Dal romanzo di Marco Franzoso

The film is taken from the novel La Lezione di Marco Franzoso, published by Mondadori. For film adaptation, Stefano Mordini and Luca Infascelli maintain the theme of ambiguity at the centre of history, building a psychological thriller in which every certainty is progressively questioned.

The story develops in the city of Trieste, which with its suspended atmospheres and its scenarios becomes an integral part of the story, helping to feed the sense of restlessness that accompanies the protagonist.

La regia di Stefano Mordini

After directing thrillers like The Catholic School and Cursed Spring, Stefano Mordini returns to confront a story built on psychological tension. The director explained that the film was born from the difference between “seeing” and “looking”, a concept that crosses the whole narrative and accompanies the viewer in a continuous play between perception, doubt and truth.
