Christmas with the Avengers. Disney and Marvel set for December 16 the global debut of Avengers: Doomsday another Christmas event after last year’s event with Avatar. If in the 1990s and 2000s the cartoons were the Christmas films now Disney focuses on movies capable of attracting families.
Avengers: Doomsday is the film of the returns, but also Marvel who says “honestly we were wrong” after the attempts to enlarge the universe and to point on other characters by placing a series of results in the unsatisfactory box office, trying to create a close link with the streaming of Disney+ but ending to weaken both the cinematographic universe and the serial world (only Loki returns).
Anthony and Joe Russo will be back, former directors divengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, to inaugurate a new phase of the Marvel film universe by gathering characters from different narrative realities. Written by Stephen McFeely, Avengers: Doomsday promises a clash that will involve heroes belonging to three different universes, called to face a threat destined to put at risk the very existence of the multiverse.

According to the official synopsis, the heroes from three separate universes will find themselves on a collision course that will lead them first to collide with each other and then to join forces against an unprecedented threat.
At the moment Marvel Studios did not spread further details about the story, keeping the identity of the protagonists of the different universes and the events that will lead to the encounter between the characters.

One of the most anticipated elements of the film is the return of Robert Downey Jr. in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After playing Tony Stark/Iron Man for over a decade, the actor returns to a completely different role, Victor Von Doom/Dottor Destino, one of the most famous Marvel cartoon antagonists. Its presence is one of the turning points of the new Saga del Multiverso and will be central in the events told in Avengers: Doomsday. But the trailer also confirmed that Chirs Evans will be Steve Rogers despite everything that had happened in the past, as shown in the meeting with Thor Chris Hemsworth.

The film brings together a choral cast that includes historical protagonists of the Marvel Cinematic Universe along with actors from other Marvel franchises. In addition to Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans there will be Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) and Thunderbolts, Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and Black Panthers, Gambit (Channing Tatum), I Fantastic 4 Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm) and Ebon Moss.
