Protagonists are Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer, flanked by an international cast, in a story that promises to explore once again the subtle border between humans and Replicants. The miniseries will debut on 25 November 2026 on Prime Video.
La trama
The story is set in 2099, half a century after the events told in Blade Runner 2049. Los Angeles is reborn, but not thanks to humanity.
The protagonist is Cora, a woman forced to live on the run that, in desperate attempt to change life, takes on a last identity: that of a Blade Runner. His mission leads her to collaborate with Olwen, a Replicant who knows he has a few days of life. Together they hunt a mysterious fugitive that guards a secret capable of questioning the balances on which the city stands, dragging them into a conspiracy destined to have far greater consequences than expected.

The protagonists of the series are Hunter Schafer who plays Cora, the fugitive who takes on the identity of a Blade Runner and Michelle Yeoh who is Olwen, a Replicant with a limited time in front of him. In the cast we find many other actors including Maurizio Lombardi among guest stars, also Dimitri Abold, Tom Burke, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Daniel Rigby.

Blade Runner 2099 represents the first live-action television project set in the universe born of Philip K’s novel The android hunter. Dick was made famous by Ridley Scott’s 1982 film. The series ideally continues the story started with Blade Runner 2049, proposing a completely original story set several decades later.
Silka Luisa, former author of Shining Girls, is the project leader, who plays as a showrunner and executive producer. Executive producers include Ridley Scott, founders of Alcon Entertainment Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, while Jonathan van Tulleken (Shōgun) directed the first two episodes of the miniseries.
