A kidnapping, a ransom to put together quickly and a family forced to confront a network of deceptions increasingly difficult to decipher. This is the starting point of Animals, a new Netflix thriller directed and interpreted by Ben Affleck, who returns behind the camera to tell a story built around an extreme situation. La trama
In the middle of the story, there’s a candidate for mayor of Los Angeles and his wife. Their life is upset when the son is kidnapped and the couple finds themselves involved in a network of deceptions.
In order to be able to put together the money necessary for redemption, the two are forced to make a series of increasingly difficult choices. The situation progressively leads them beyond the limits they had set for themselves, putting at risk not only their safety, but also the life they have built together.
The abduction thus becomes the starting point of a story in which the need to save the son collides with consequences that could come to destroy their own life.

In the role of the protagonists we find Ben Affleck and Kerry Washington. The cast also includes Gillian Anderson, Steven Yeun, Adriana Paz, Ray Fisher, Christopher Woodley, Matt Gerald and Jacob Estrada. Among the interpreters is Luis Gerardo Méndez.
