The journey of the Yellowjackets to the final reckoning is about to begin, the fourth and last season will debut on 20 November on Paramount+. The series created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson will continue to move on two temporal planes: on the one hand the girls in the wild nature, increasingly far from the tapered group that were once; on the other the adult survivors, almost twenty-five years later, still struggling with the consequences of what happened.
Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, creators and showrunners, also return as executive producers along with Drew Comins, Jonathan Lisco, Jeff W. Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa and Julia Bicknell. Production is entrusted to Lionsgate Television for SHOWTIME, while international distribution is curated by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

The third season brought the history of the Yellowjackets closer to the events shown in the first episode of the series. In the past, Shauna has become the leader of the group, while the fracture with Natalie becomes definitive. The team decides to organize a new hunt and Mari, after fishing the map of the Queen of Hearts, becomes the designated victim. She is the girl who, in the pilot’s flashforward, runs in the snow before falling into the pit: the third season has finally revealed the identity of Pit Girl.
Meanwhile, Natalie manages to escape with the help of Misty and Hannah, exploiting the long distance radio recovered by scientists. Reached a high point enough to pass the signal, Natalie launches a call for help. The final is interrupted just when a voice on the other side of the radio responds that you can hear it, leaving the issue open on who received the transmission and if this really represents the beginning of the rescue of the girls.
On the front of the present, Lottie’s death had a decisive turning point: to kill her was Callie, Shauna’s daughter. But it was not a premeditated murder: Callie had faced Lottie after discovering that he had taken the cassette destined to Shauna and, during the confrontation, had pushed her down the stairs. Misty reconstructs dynamics thanks to the clues found on Lottie’s phone and the evidence collected.
The situation between the survivors is therefore far from resolved. Tai accuses Shauna of being responsible for the death of Van and Lottie and decides that she cannot afford to be the last Yellowjacket remaining alive while Walter listens to the conversation. Shauna, in the meantime, discovers the truth about the cassette sent by Melissa and comes to a disturbing awareness about her past: the survivors may not remember everything that happened in the wild nature because, at the bottom, a part of them had found just there a freedom and a dimension that would never find again once back to civilization.

The fourth season will depart as the survivors desperately try to leave the past behind and keep their secrets hidden waiting for the arrival of the rescues.
The situation, however, is destined to complicate when a figure from the past returns to the city, reopening wounds that seemed to have been lost. A return that is not experienced as a mere repatriation and is likely to have particularly painful consequences for the protagonists. The communiqué does not anticipate further details on the history of the final season, leaving the main questions about the fate of the protagonists and the secrets that continue to bind their past to the present.
