Owen Wilson is ready to pick up the golf club for the second season of Stick that will be available from November 4 on Apple TV with the first two bets and then continue weekly until December 30. Created by Jason Keller the comedy will see the arrival in the cast of Rhea Seehorn in a sort of unusual crossover between Apple TV series since he is the protagonist of Pluribus.
Wilson plays Pryce Cahill, a former professional golfer on the sunset avenue, whose career was abruptly interrupted 20 years earlier. After the failure of his marriage and dismissal from his work in a sports shop in Indiana, Pryce decides to bet everything, including his future, on Santi (Peter Dager), a problematic 17-year golf prodigy.
Stick 2 la trama
In the second season, Santi takes the next step in his path to professional golf, but discovering how quickly he can change the game when talent turns into expectation. While Saints pursues his dream, Pryce Cahill begins to wonder what is still possible for him. Pushed by his former rival Clark Ross (Timothy Olyphant), Pryce does something that no one expects: he bets on himself and starts an unlikely return, hoping to become the oldest golfer to have ever won a major. But the way to get back to the top is much more difficult than he had imagined and the more Pryce approaches the golfer who was once, the more he is forced to confront the reason why he never kept the promises that everyone saw in him. With the brilliant new coach Amanda (Rhea Seehorn) and the trusted caddie Mitts (Marc Maron) on her side, Pryce embarks on a new challenge to demonstrate – to the world of golf and, above all, to himself – that perhaps he was as good as everyone has always supported.
