Free – The case Elena Palma debuts on Sunday 25 October 2026 on Rai 1 with a new investigation for the judge interpreted by Lunetta Savino. The second season of the fiction, directed by Gianluca Mazzella and produced by 11 March Film in collaboration with Rai Fiction, is still set in Trieste and intertwines a fetish process with the personal developments of the protagonists. The six episodes will be distributed in three first evenings, while the series is also available on RaiPlay.
Libera – Il caso Elena Palma, la trama della seconda stagione
Libera Orlando became president of the Criminal Section of the Tribunal of Trieste. The new assignment leads her to take care of the trial against Omar Alami, a young rapper accused of the feminist of Elena Palma. The evidence seems to compromise it, but some details do not convince the judge, who tries to understand whether behind the reconstruction of the crime there are still elements to be clarified.
A testimony could change the course of the process. It is that of Nina De Angelis, teacher of the study center attended by Pietro Zanon. The woman knows important information about the case, but the threats received are likely to compromise her deposition. Peter approaches Nina and tries to rebuild the relationship with his daughter Clara, found at the end of the first season.
In Trieste also comes Cesare Scuderi, a palermitan magistrate who has unresolved issues with Libera. His private investigation intertwined with the judge’s, forcing them to cooperate. On the personal level, Isabella approaches Scuderi, while Davide Moresco discovers to try something for the former wife.

2×01 Free leads the trial against rapper Omar Alami, accused of a serious crime. Meanwhile, Peter knows the fascinating Nina and a strong understanding arises between the two. The arrival in Trieste of the magistrate Cesare Scuderi, however, reopens old pending accounts and brings new mysteries.
2×02 Nina could provide a decisive testimony to Omar, but a threat prompts her to change version. While Peter, more and more emotionally involved, tries to find out what the girl hides, Caesar secretly continues his mysterious investigation.

The second season of Libera debuted on Sunday 25 October 2026 in the first evening on Rai 1. The fiction consists of six episodes of about 50 minutes, distributed in three TV shows. The first two episodes are previewed on RaiPlay from October 23; on the platform you can see also the episodes of the first season.
