The seventh season of The Rookie finally arrives on Rai 2 from Saturday 18 April 2026, just while the eighth is about to end in the USA and has already been renewed for a ninth season. A delay in broadcasting Rai that brought the seventh season to be available on both Netflix and Disney+ streaming.
The TV series has become a small cult in the USA, even very loved by the public under 18 according to some data spread by deadline, which favored its renewal thanks to the excellent feedback both live and in subsequent days streaming. Among the secrets of success there is the variety of its characters, the ability to alternate more action bets to others more read to other more mystery, but also the stability of its cast that has not undergone strong changes for a few years. In addition, the continuous arrival of new recruits allows to always make the stories fresh.
Just 2 freshmen are among the novelties of this seventh season of The Rookie: Miles, who has recently moved from the state of Texas and already has a bit of experience, and Seth, in everything and for all a beginner, who would seem to have all the characteristics of the ideal police officer, except one: rapid decision making.

7×01 Mine Vagrants: After the scandal of corruption, the department must restore its credibility and, while Grey was promoted lieutenant, many police officers were fired. Meanwhile, the team is hunting for the two escapes, Jason (formerly Bailey’s husband) and Oscar, who are very concerned with Nolan. The agent in fact installed a sophisticated alarm system in the house and made Bailey leave for his safety. The two recruits, Seth Ridley and Miles Penn, were assigned to Chen (named for the instructor) and Tim respectively.
7×02 The observer: the police are on alert: a masked vigilant imperverted on the streets of Los Angeles by calling himself “the observer” and creating even more agitation among the citizens already concerned by the acts of police corruption. While the new recruits create no few difficulties to their instructors, Celina must face the “bourgeois day” independently, without the intervention of Nolan.
