Ryan Philippe in 911 Nashville

The first season will end on May 7, but ABC is already working on the future of 911: Nashville hired Ryan Philippe in the cast of the second season. The actor would have an agreement for several years and will interpret a brilliant detective but against the rules, which moves from New York to Nashville, a seductive bad boy, with a relevant past, which will cross the path of rescuers while hunting a serial killer with biblical motivations.

A necessary addition considering that the police component was practically absent in 911: Nashville while present in 911 (and was also in Lone Star). ABC is trying to find the right formula for this spinoff that after a good start collapsed between final fall and midseason premiere and then recover between late January and late March. The average of 35 days between the various platforms is 8 million.

In addition to adding new characters, ABC will also work on stories. And in fact this aspect has already been seen, with the series that in the second half of season has abandoned personal rivalries among the protagonists, with veins a little too much from cheap soap, to focus more on emergencies.

Jane the Virgin reunion in Matlock

The final of Matlock’s second season, scheduled on April 23 on CBS (in Italy it will arrive a few weeks later since the series will resume on April 26 on Paramount+ from the ninth episode) will be very special with a reunion of Jane the Virgin. In addition to Justina Machado and Gina Rodriguez there will also be Bridget Regan without counting that Matlock is created by Jennie Snyder Urman already behind Jane the Virgin. There are no details about the characters but Reagan will be Ada Marcia and Rodriguez Lidia Gutierrez; Machado has already appeared as Eva ex-wife of Senior.
