A first dream weekend projecting it as a biopic with the biggest recessed. The film is distributed by Lionsgate in the USA but by Universal in the world who would take the rights for $70 million.
Box Office Italia 23-26 aprile: Michael domina
With over 6.5 million euros in 5 days, Michael became the best cashout for Universal in our country, best debut for a biopic. Antoine Fuqua’s film is a kind of collective event between dances and karaoke moments. Looking only at the weekend the total figure is 7.866.319 € +57% compared to last year and +55% compared to last weekend. And on April 29, the Devil dresses Prada 2. After 5 days having released the 22 in the hall, the film Michael cashed 6,416.101 €, Super Mario Galaxy stopped at 511 thousand euros.
