The film, directed and interpreted by Alessandro Siani – which also signs the script together with Fabio Bonifacci – is a family story full of surprises, contradictions and love that burst close to two events: a marriage and a funeral, all lived in a tragic and irreverent atmosphere.

The plot of Succes also in the best families tells the story of Davide Di Rienzo, graduated in medicine and finished making the volunteer to Caritas, because too influenced by the oppressive father figure of excellent doctor – in a few words the black sheep of the Di Rienzo family – leads a life tendentially normal, spending between a loving disappointment and the other. One day, however, his balance is shocked by a phone call: his father died. Back in the old family villa, she decided to take care of her mother Lina, visibly shaken and tried, along with her perfect brothers Renzo and Isabella, respectively lawyer and psychologist, both successful.
But behold, in a very short time, the mother Lina seems to have recovered all the enthusiasm and joy of all time. Was it the warmth and love of children? Not exactly, as more a new, imminent, marriage: his. Lina, in fact, will marry the following week with Mr. Angelo Cederna, old friend and childhood boyfriend. What? Who is this man? The three brothers want to see us deeper. But for the moment, there is only one certainty: this marriage is not to be done!
