There are some similarities between Gladiator II and Top Gun Maverick, it is no coincidence that behind there are the two Scott brothers. There is the right dose of epic despite Mescal is not Russell Crowe and perhaps to emerge more than everyone is the continuous turncoat of Washington. At the same time there are spectacular sequences, a good dose of family intrigues, the theme of inheritance and the passing of witness always present, with a political vein of redemption for freedom.
