The Warner Bros/DC world is about to expand with the arrival of Lanterns, a new TV series departing on HBO from 16 August and from 17 on HBO Max in Italy. The pilot of the series is written by Chris Mundy, Damon
Lindelof and Tom King, who are also creators of the project. Chris Mundy also plays a showrunner role. The first two episodes are directed by James Hawes, while Stephen Williams, Geeta Vasant Patel and Alik Sakharov will lead further episodes of the season.
A Lanterns project had been working since 2019 produced by Greg Berlanti, written by Seth Grahame-Smith and Marc Guggenheim, the project changed when James Gunn and Peter Safran took the lead of DC Studios. In 2023 the project of the series moved to a formula from Detective Story.
Lanterns, la trama
At the heart of Lanterns’ history, he follows the new recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and the legend of Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic policemen involved in a dark earthly mystery, while investigating a murder in the heart of the United States.
