A frozen lake, a loot hidden under water and a gang ready to recover it. Icefall – Ice Hunt is the action thriller directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky, with Joel Kinnaman and Cara Jade Myers protagonists tonight on TV in the premiere on Italy 1 Monday 24 August at 21:20.
In the middle of history there are a lonely bracconiere and a young ranger who, after finding themselves on the same side of a manhunt, must set aside mutual distrust to survive in a hostile environment. The landscape becomes an important component of history, the frozen lake is not only the place where Harlan finds money, but also the space where he and Ani must try to escape the criminals. Filming took place in Bulgaria.
La trama
Harlan lives far from society and leads a solitary existence. During a dive in the icy waters of a lake, however, it encounters a discovery that completely changes its situation, finds some bags containing millions of dollars, coming from a precipitated plane and being trapped under the ice. The money is equipped with localizers so a gang of criminals gets on track of the loot.
Meanwhile, the young Ranger Ani manages to arrest Harlan but the transfer to the police station is however interrupted by the attack of the men who are looking for money. Ranger and prisoner are so forced to flee together and to go into the wild nature. To save themselves, Ani and Harlan must cooperate, while the pursuers continue to tighten the circle around them. Between pursuits and betrayals, both will also have to deal with the secrets that you carry behind.
Joel Kinnaman e il cast
Joel Kinnaman plays Harlan, while Cara Jade Myers is the Ani Ranger. In the cast there are also Martin Sensmeier as Pen, DeVaughn Nixon as Drake, Frida Gustavsson as Sirena and Danny Huston as Rhodes.
Among the interpreters is Graham Greene, who plays Oz, along with Will Fletcher, Oliver Trevena and Trevor Van Uden. Icefall is directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky, while the script is signed by Steve Isles and George Mahaffey. The film is an American production of 2025 and lasts about 95 minutes.
