With Years and Years is love at first sight. But you don’t have to make the mistake of imagining Years and Years as a single political series. Built through the dynamics of the Lyons family the series is equipped with a deep humanity capable of moving and exciting the viewer and if it comes to cry at some times, for sadness, anger or frustration, it can be done quietly. Russell T. Davies has managed to create a perfect balance that also forgives some somewhat young drifts of description of the future but which are functional to the story that you want to carry out. Because Years and Years also have light, ironic moments like only the English can do. A miniseries absolutely not to be missed.
