A police officer sees the husband killed in front of his eyes and decides to track the killer. From that moment on, however, what seemed like a personal research turns into a hunt through the United States, while the true nature of the man who is chasing emerges. It is the story of Psycho Killer, horror-thriller film directed by Gavin Polone, available on Disney+ from 9 September 2026.
In the middle of the film is Georgina Campbell, as Jane Archer, while the serial killer is portrayed by James Preston Rogers. Malcolm McDowell, Logan Miller, and Grace Dove are also in the cast. Andrew Kevin Walker, famous for writing Seven, is the author of the script. Psycho Killer had a very long gestation. The project dates back to many years before its realization, a first version of Walker’s screenplay was already circulating in the 2000s and, over time, the film passed through several developments and possible directors before arriving at Gavin Polone.
For Polone, a producer of long film and television experience, the film is the debut of a feature film. The collaboration with Walker also resumes that already started with 8MM, another thriller written by Walker and produced by Polone.
Psycho Killer, la trama
Jane Archer is a Kansas police officer. Her life changes when her husband, too, is brutally murdered. Jane fails to accept that the responsible man can continue to be free and decides to personally follow his tracks. The killer is known as Satanic Slasher, a serial killer who crosses the country leaving behind a trail of murders. Jane’s research becomes an increasingly dangerous journey, during which the woman tries to put together the clues left by the killer and understand what her next goal is.
The problem is, as Jane approaches him, she discovers that behind the murders there is something more complex than the simple madness of a murderer. His plan is more disturbing than the woman had initially imagined. Disney+ presents the film just like the story of a hunt that leads the protagonist to confront the sadistic nature and the increasingly twisted plans of the serial killer.

To play Jane is Georgina Campbell, the protagonist of a story in which the character quickly passes from the role of agent to that of a woman determined to find alone the man responsible for the death of the husband.
