News TV series: chosen the protagonist of the medical spinoff of Sheriff/Fire Country; AMC Orders Point Break

In England they have their own system to monitor the ratings of the platforms and TV series and according to Overnights.tv of Barb, in 7 days the second season of The Gentlemen was seen by 3 million British spectators, about 500 thousand less than the debut of the first in March 2024. Numbers that represent little less than a curiosity.

In arrivo Med Country?

The third TV series of the Fire Country universe of CBS is becoming increasingly decisive. Noah Reid would have been chosen to drive the spinoff set in the hospital, thus recreating the triptych firemen and doctors of Chicago of NBC. Reid will be Dr. Hudson “Hud” Henshaw in a second season episode of Fire Country (the second part of the first debut on September 29 on Sky). This guest star role is accompanied by a proposal to become regular in case of official medical spinoff order that is currently informally called Edge Med with reference to where Edgewater will be set in California.

Hudson Henshaw is the head of Edgewater Memorial Hospital, charming, awake but also capable of being tough, Hud grew up in a land of no one known as Deadwater. Son of a prisoner, he refused to use family money from drug trafficking to study. A passionate doctor who would never hurt anyone but who would manage a bar fight. Very tied to his community.

Point Break

After the indiscretion last December, it is now official: AMC ordered a TV series from Point Break, but the peculiarity is that to flank it there is Canal+. The series is set in the present, 30 years after the film, at the center a new band of thieves, however, linked to the previous one, in which a former surfer sent by the FBI. AMC/AMC+ will distribute it in the USA, Canal+ in France and in other countries where it is present, while Studiocanal will be responsible for further distribution.

The Retrievals

Amy Ryan enters the cast of Netflix’s The Retrievals, third TV series after Maid and Sirens by Molly Smith Metzler, inspired by Susan Burton’s podcast. At the center there is a group of patients with assisted fecundation who join Yale University after they are operated without anesthesia because a nurse stole fentanyl. Ryan will be Carla Russo, nurse of the Yale Fertility Center who admitted that he stole the fentanyl by replacing it with saline solution. Emilia Jones will instead be Gabby Clemente one of the victims and leader of the group in the legal battle.
