Brad Pitt plays Cliff Booth, the character of C’era once in… Hollywood, in the new film The new misadventures of Cliff Booth. This time the story is directed by David Fincher, while the script is signed by Quentin Tarantino. The film will arrive in Italian IMAX theatres from 26 November 2026, before landing on Netflix from 23 December.
The story began eight years after the events told by Tarantino in the 2019 film. It’s 1977 and Cliff Booth is no longer simply the counterfigure and all-rounder of a Hollywood star. His experience has transformed him into a sort of problem solver for people working in the film industry, willing to move even on the margins of legality.
La trama
Los Angeles has changed and Hollywood is no longer the 1960s. Cliff, who in the meantime also works as a bartender or projectionist, continues to put his skills in the service of those who need someone capable of solving complicated situations.
Her new story begins when she receives a phone call from Karen Crosby, a talent agent played by Elizabeth Debicki. The woman contacts him on behalf of her client Charlie Peters, a television star famous to personally realize her own action scenes. Cliff agrees to take care of the situation and quickly gets involved in the events surrounding the actor.
Among the people who draw his attention is Toni, Charlie’s wife, played by Carla Gugino, and Roderick “Hot Rod” Harrison, former football champion who became a movie star, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. To further complicate the situation are the Verdusco brothers, two mysterious gangsters who are sowing chaos on the streets of Los Angeles. What might seem like a new mission to Cliff is thus transformed into a criminal story made of violence, ambition, blackmail and desire, inside a Hollywood showing its darkest side.

Il cast
In addition to Brad Pitt, there are Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Peter Weller. They complete the cast Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis and Karren Karagulian.
Pitt is also among the producers of the film along with Ceán Chaffin. The photo is entrusted to Erik Messerschmidt, the scenography to Donald Graham Burt and the installation to Kirk Baxter.
