Movies on TV: The Legal Hour tonight on Cine 34 with Ficarra and Picone

Tonight on TV is L’ora Legale, the comedy of Sicilian comedians Ficarra and Picone, in replica on Cine34, on September 24 at about 21:10. Legal time is the film that has taken more to the Italian box office in 2019, with 10.2 million euros cashed in the first five weeks since the release.

L’ora Legale la trama

In a country in Sicily, Pietrammare, punctual as the legal hour, comes the moment of the elections for the choice of the new mayor. For years now, the town of Gaetano Patanè, the historic mayor of the small Sicilian town. A corrupt mayor and dedicated to illegality, ready to use all political weapons to create consensus around him. He opposes Pierpaolo Natoli, a fifty-year-old professor, who decides to run for mayor to bring some legality to Pietrammare and offer his 18-year-old daughter, Betti, an alternative for his first vote.

Ficarra and Picone are Salvo and Valentino, and are deployed on opposite fronts: the smart Salvo, offers his services to Patanè, a winner in all polls. While the candid Valentino descends into the field alongside Natoli, as he is his brother-in-law. Beyond rivalry, however, both aim to obtain a favor: a gazebo that would allow to expand customers and cash, of the small kiosk that both manage.

Citizens live in a perpetual state of precariousness and illegality. The machines in double row, the trash on the street, unauthorized ambulances and parking spaces, the holes, and, on everything, the absence of controls that make the days of the citizens a constant Via Crucis to face with the only weapon at their disposal: the complaint. A few hours from the vote, however, the impossible will happen: Pierpaolo Natoli will be elected to the fury of people and with him will be elected legality. But will they know the citizens of Pietrammare, to deal with the long-awaited legality?

L’ora Legale, il finale, come finisce?

Given the impossibility of changing the citizens of Pietrammare and accepting the new legal rules imposed by the new mayor NATOli, they will do everything to make the new mayor resign. When they succeed, former mayor Patanè will return to office, in this way the habits of the citizens return those of a time and legality will simply be a bad memory. The charge of Natoli, and therefore the legality, has lasted the time that passes between the passage to the legal hour to the solar one.
